Based on your risk profile, we believe you’re in line behind 23.0 million people across the United States.
When it comes to Michigan, we think you’re behind 673,700 others who are at higher risk in your state.
And in Macomb County, you’re behind 52,900 others.

Re: The official Swill vaccination thread. Let us know.
That NYT thing seems off, though. Maybe it is based on wide-ranging age groups. I did that last week, and it said I was behind 230 million people. So 100m people behind me? Im 48 and there are about 100m people in this country under the age of 25. So unless everyone age 25-47 are high risk, that doesnt add up. Maybe they lumped everyone 30-50 together. That puts me at the high end of that range, but with mostly people a lot younger.

The New York Times estimator thing didn’t even ask you things like your income, your net worth, your family’s legacy, how many servants you have, or which companies will be forced to give you a board seat no matter how woefully inept you are. And since we know these are all driving factors in America that will determine who gets the vaccine first, I found the thing to be pretty fraudulent

By the way, i Was a teacher/administrator for a long time. I never let my certificate lapse when I retired. I’m not a sub teacher though many old friends that are administrators have called and begged me. For that survey I said I was. Yeah, I lied. Kind of. Moral dilemma. Do I sub for a couple weeks to be moved up in line? Would it even move me up?

I welcome that. As you get older you’ll know what I mean. Sometimes I find myself just wandering around in places I don’t even know how I got to. This tracking chip could be an added bonus.

Behind 71,000 in the large county where all my doctors are located.
Behind 5000 in the low population county where I reside 1/4 mile past the county line.
If they make they typical error I’ll have a choice since 95% of the zip code is in large county and I suspect they will get a lot higher allotment.

According to the Michigan Militia, they were doing that with other vaccines, tetanus shots, etc., back in the 90s, if not before, in order to track everyone for when the UN/Global Government came to take over. So this must just be an upgrade.

Those fuckers. by the way, my whole life has been in between. To old and fat and out of shape to not worry about the covid to young and inessential to get the shit
Too much income to qualify my kids for schollies not enough to write checks to pay for college.
Too much combined income to get stimulus checks too many bills and debts to not have to dig into savings to help pay bills during lockdowns.
Too small of a dick to be in porn just right to get the wife pregnant and cost me 200K in college.
I hate my life.

That sounds like a horrible sitcom cancelled after just the pilot episode. Just you, the vial, and all the shenanigans you get into together.

The news said my (ultimate) boss just petitioned for me to be essential. Not sure how I feel about that.

My wife will get one next week I think. She could've done in the last 2 weeks, but knowing there is a possibility of getting sick for a day or 2 she didn't want to. Also she is saying a lot of her coworkers are wary about getting the vaccine. They don't think there was enough testing done and still unsure of any side effects.

Glad she is getting the vaccine. Is she one of those that is wary? I haven't heard any real experts say that there wasn't enough testing. Granted, they didn't test on kids, people who are pregnant, and probably not people with certain conditions, but for the general population it sounds like the testing was plenty. I hope that even healthcare workers that are wary about it still get it.

Re: The official Swill vaccination thread. Let us know.
I'm a RN and had the Pfizer vaccine in the left deltoid muscle this morning. Round two in three weeks. Proud to be part of the herd and hopeful that this is the start of the end. The impact of this virus on hospitals, patients, families and healthcare workers has been overwhelming, frustrating, emotionally and physically taxing and it's challenged the system like we've never experienced. This will end and our country is due for a reckoning on how we manage and fund healthcare and will need to spend some time reflecting on ensuring readiness for the next time. And that reflection will need to extend to looking at the damage inflicted through a multi-decade campaign to build distrust in academia, science, government and the media. We've paid a price in lives. Hopefully production, distribution and vaccination can ramp up quickly as the healing process from this pandemic is going to be challenging. But I end 2020 with hope........

I still don't know the deal for us who have antibodies... Are we supposed to get this? What's the benefit, etc... I guess if the au-natural track on getting antibodies doesn't last as long... Maybe. I dunno.

There are still a lot of unknown things. But they are still recommending you get it. There’s mixed data on how long antibodies are lasting. And maybe this is a different strand than what you got. I think the benefits still outweigh the risks.
As someone who works in the pharma/biotech industry, I am well aware of side effects on products. Every single medication out there (from Tylenol to chemo treatments) has side effects that can and do kill people. You don’t know until you take it. A safety profile for a vaccine is highly important. And the side effects are typical vaccine reactions. When my husband had to take Tdap when I was first pregnant, he got pretty sick, and he never gets sick. It was short lived. And shows he got an immune response. The serious side effects for this are very minimal. But can happen with any of them. I have not seen anything that would question it’s safety profile. Really the question is the efficacy, as we don’t have long term data. But we need this and should go off of it, as it is safe to take. I suspect other companies will be making more effective versions in the future, especially if this becomes an annual thing.
My 2 cents.
I am eagerly waiting for when I can get mine. There have been 6 Health care professionals in my family that have received theirs already.
