Post by DWags 2021-05-19, 00:54

JJJ
Day Day
Miles
Harris
Zel/cash/Forbes

Plus a bench of regular subs.

How many games do they win? Do they make the playoffs?

Or do they get run out?

I don't think they'd win more that 20-30 games. Honestly, trying to look at it without green colored lenses. Lack of a superstar does not bode well in the NBA.

Draymond with the MVP barely made the playoffs.

JJJ is still a little raw.

Miles would be the scoring leader.

No playoffs.

I used to regularly draft all the MSU guys in NBA 2k fantasy drafts. Always worked well for me, but I'm pretty sweet at 2k.

Are we sure Kevin Willis is not playing? I think he is back with the Hawks.

I think it might be a little better than that. I am trying to think about it one player at a time and then substituting the rest of that player's real team with the rest of the proposed Spartans. If I start with JJJ and then ask if the rest of Memphis (and Dwags you left out Tillman) is better than the rest of the spartans I go with Memphis. If I start with Bridges and ask if the rest of Charlotte is better (w/o Hayward say) then I might lean toward the Spartans as long as Ball is still learning to be awesome every game.

Also an interesting case study in my thinking. Would you rather have Bridges or Wiggins for example? (And isn't it interesting that Bridges resurgence has been at the 4 during Hayward's absence. Where have I seen Bridges perform better at the 4?) Would you rather have Harris or Oubre or Bazemore or whoever else you're trotting out there tonight? Would you rather have JJJ/Tillman or Looney/Toscano-Anderson? And yes, of course I'd rather have the best shooter ever than any of the Spartan pt guard candidates but I think it seems close if I think of it that way because I'd rather have Harris and Bridges and JJJ/Tillman than the other Warriors.

The weakness on that Spartan team is at the point but I'd be interested in knowing what Valentine could do there as he has not been used that way at all in Chicago based on what I have seen.

I could be way off and I'm no basketball expert. After all Harris didn't make Orlando any better but I'm not sure Gordon made Denver better either.... apples and pears anyway.

Damn I did leave out Tillman. It’s why I started it. I was thinking JJJ Bridges X and cash. We lost to Syracuse.

Didn't give Ben Carter enough minutes in that game.

Click at your own peril. And yes that team would get smoked every night. Unless Zel channels MSU Zel and becomes a true bucket getter, they have none. Miles is on his way but not there yet.

Oubre > Harris

I'd take Wiggins over Bridges right now.

Wiggins defense has improved, it had no where else to go, right? How is Oubre's D because Harris' is excellent.

He is one bad Oubre. 🤠
But since DWags OP intended for this to be an exercise involving Spartans, of course I’ll take Harris. I’d take him anyway because Spartans4Lyfe.
