Dar Leaf is Barry County Sheriff. He was re-elected as a Republican, unopposed.

He showed up at an anti-Whitmer rally in downtown GR on June ‘20 taking the podium, joined by 3-4 gun toting militia members to protest stay at home orders.

A week later it was learned Sheriff Leaf had been working from home since March. When found out he blamed a medical condition.

Several of the militia involved with the plot to kidnap Gov. Whitmer listed Dar Leaf as an acquaintance to vouch for their character after the FBI arrested them.

He’s also a member of Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association who believe their local authority at the county level supersedes state and Federal law. Essentially they want to the law in their counties.

Update to Barry County sheriff’s latest shenanigans to ensure elections are valid.

Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf assigned a deputy to go with an independent private investigator on unscheduled visits  to “investigate”  if votes using Dominion Voting machines  could have been altered n townships across the county with incorrect results being reported for the official vote count.
