Been a pretty fortunate year so far for the US, but Ida is going to be a bitch for the upper Gulf coast.  Supposed to hit as a Cat 4 in Louisiana, on (or very close to) the anniversary of Katrina.

And you don't really hear them speaking very often about that level of confidence," Edwards said...

Ida is currently a Category 2 hurricane, though it is predicted to strengthen to a Category 4 hurricane before it officially makes landfall on the U.S. Gulf Coast.
