Cranberry Sauce
After you take the sauce pan off the stove and let it cool a bit get out the zester culinary tool and put a little orange zest in there then stir it up. You won't find that direction in the recipe on the Ocean Spray Cranberry packaging. That's a Swill Exclusive Thanksgiving tip from your friend Steve.

Re: Cranberry Sauce
This Thanksgiving is going to suck. I get to watch the Lions lose before I eat and the Bills lose after I eat. If there is cranberry sauce, I will try it. I have always avoided it because it looks not good.

Re: Cranberry Sauce
Great advice steve. You can also cook it with orange and/or lemon zest.

It's an acquired taste and took me a while to appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving Turtleneck and I wish you all the best.
Edit: Also, I feel your pain. I'm a recovering Lions football addict and haven't watched a second of them this year. Today I'm going to fall off the wagon and watch. May need some support later.

Haven't tried that yet and I only make it once a year so I don't have many opportunities to experiment and I play it conservative. Was thinking about going bold and adding a little cinnamon this year. The orange zest adds something good to it.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Cinnamon is good. Add a diced apple or two, and some walnuts. Makes it more of a relish/conserve than a sauce, but adds layers of texture and flavor.
Happy Thanksgiving

Especially if you can still see the clean lines/shapes from the can.

Re: Cranberry Sauce
Why are cranberry cans upside down?
According to Ocean Spray, that's intentional: It creates a seamless serving experience. The cans are "filled and labeled upside down with the rounded edge on top and the sharp can-like edge on the bottom to keep the jelly whole," an Ocean Spray spokesperson told CNN Business
