The "Vintage" Truck Market/tAwesome Old Trucks Thread
If anybody has a 1979 F-150 they want to give me, I would be more than happy to take it off your hands. Feel free to post pics of awesome old trucks. In fact, this is an awesome old trucks thread.

Prices for vintage trucks rose more than fifty per cent in the past four years, twenty per cent more than the vintage-vehicle market as a whole, according to data from the collectible-car-insurance company Hagerty. The trend was evident well before the current microchip shortage sent used car prices through the roof.

A friend in the neighborhood has a Dodge Dakota convertible pickup. Can’t recall the year, but it’s in the late 80s/early 90s era. Not the best looking truck, but it would be fun to have for hauling stuff in warm months.

My son's buddy got a 1986 silverado similar to below from some wealthy dude who had it sitting in a barn for 20 years. No rust, original everything. Of course it drinks gas and needed a good amount of carb work to get it "reliable"... but it looks cool.
It was kind of a blast from the past looking through it. Window cranks, shitty radio, bright button on the floor, etc.

And I thought this would be about trucks from the 1920s to 1950s.
Out here in farm country you are talking about trucks I see every day hauling stuff around.

1955 was the end of the era of they styling.
There are a few stake bed trucks that some smaller farmers still use to haul grain but they are late 1950s early 1960s.
