Yes - The game was held November 12, 2000.  We opened the season November 19 against Oakland. We also had an exhibition against Northern Michigan that year (we won 93-40).

FWIW, we played the Globetrotters again November 1, 2003 and lost 97-83.  Which I believe is the same day the Morgan Freeman statue was unveiled.

Just speaking purely athletically, I'd put Branden Dawson up near the top of the Izzo era. Maybe not ahead of any of the others mentioned, but right there with them.
