What the hell was I thinking driving up to Manistee today?

I’m 60, I’ve lived in the Detroit area for 35 years, I know today is Friday and I know it’s the Fourth of July weekend. Why can’t I post this right now while I’m in my car? Because I haven’t moved in three minutes.

I couldn’t leave this morning, my wife left at noon, I thought what the hell let’s leave at 3:30 I’ll still get up there by 7:30 8 o’clock. I should’ve left at 6:30. I’d be up there at the exact same time I’m going to be up there. I’m an idiot

Everyone (except Bob, possibly) knows the rules. You just need to settle in for a 5-6 hour drive... enjoy the scenery of the overgrown trash strewn ditches of Genesee County or the vast wasteland that is northern bay county.

Depending where you are, you can always take the back roads... 13 through Saginaw parallels-ish 75 (of course you must go through the roughest parts of Saginaw proper)... then 7 mile in bay county goes all the way to Standish. Should clear up north of Pinnconning.

Hey folks, just want to let you know Bob will not be able to make it up north this weekend. He was waiting for his new carbon fiber X30PK90 fathead limited edition red gripped driver to arrive, but the shipment got delayed and he doesn't feeling like ironing his khakis for golf. He said maybe next year.
