You and Dwags? If you can get him to leave his very attractive wife, I guess so.

The first cousin thing is genetically overdone & I think there are some jurisdictions where it has been eliminated in the law, but as guys pretty sure it isn't an issue.

Saw that GM has reversed their decision to cancel the Volt. Not sure why you’d want to cancel something that is over 90% of your EV sales.

As for me I’ll stick with the Prius which is still running strong and showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.

I assume you mean the Bolt, the Volt was available from 2011-2019 and sold less than 25,000 units a year.

GM decision was probably generated in part based the cars name - the obvious confusion with the Volt, and the massive recall due to battery fires which kind of tarnished the name. GM is bringing to market in 2024 three new EVs (Blazer EV, Equinox EV and Silverado EV) with new battery technology, which the new generation Bolt will share.

Tire, flat in the driveway. Found a screw in it...slow leak. Seems to be holding air long enough to get to the Discount Tire appointment tomorrow morning. Hope they get it right this time. Last flat tire took 3 trips there to finally get it fixed.

Or they could call it the Molt and say they shed the old battery.

Got to DT 15 minutes early in case they had a cancellation.  Appointments mean little at tire shops.  Waiting room was pretty full when I got there.  Hour and a half before tire was repaired.  Was a simple job. Screw was in between the 1st and 2nd thread bands on the outside of the tire.  Could have been plugged without taking the wheel/tire off (and supposed rebalancing according to the receipt I got).  Left the DT lot.

Got on M-59 at Rochester Rd (couple hundred feet north of DT).  Took it to the Dequindre exit couple miles east.  Rode rough...no way they rebalanced the tire.  Got home and looked at the wheel.  The wheel weight that had been on the outside of the rim when I took it in was gone.  Not climbing under to see if replaced on the inside of the rim.  Gonna drive it a couple more days to see if worth taking back to DT.  Don't drive much anymore.

My LG dryer won’t start. Light in the dryer drum is on. It’s getting lectricity, it won’t start??? New one or do you guys have any ideas?

Gas or electric?

There are safeties if it is gas.

Electric would likely be the relays that provide power to the drum.

Last time I troubleshot a dryer the replacement control boards were more than buying a new dryer.

It’s not really different than any other night. They usually have spots out front but if not then people will be in and out quickly. I’ve never needed an app. The pizza might be a little fresher on a high volume night, so you’re picking a good night for it.

Mine there is a safety switch... plastic circle on the side of the unit, take the plastic off, find the button, push it... works again. I think that is the kill when it gets too hot. Don't have a bunch of shit on top of it while running.

OR the door lock switch could be bad.

Hearing my recorded voice, it sounds nothing like the way I hear it in my head. My voice is much better in my head than recorded, which sounds awful to me.

Great singers are loved by many appreciating their voices. Often wondered how they hear their voices in their head? There's no way to record that.

Just a thought, though.

The fidelity of the recording equipment changes the sound. Back in the day telephones only had 4khz of bandwidth while human hearing had between 16khz to 20khz, person dependant.

We're putting our cat Casper down tomorrow (pic in avatar). The hubby and I are already a mess today, as we came to that decision this morning. I get it, but it's still amazing how much more emotional this shit is sometimes, versus a close family member that may pass.
We've spent around 7k the past 2 months trying to save him. We thought we managed to buy him another year or 2. But he's done.

Our girls love this cat so much, and he has adored them from day 1. It's going to be hard on them as well. Fuck man, this sucks and we haven't even done it yet.

Sorry... yeah it sucks.
Almost like pets aren't worth the eventual heartbreak.
