You’re having peacock for Thanksgiving? Sounds scrumptious.

The GreenWays will enjoy halibut with either pecans or more likely pistachios.

Re: Thanksgiving prep has started...
I bought 12 pounds of brussel sprouts yesterday.
Also kielbasa and kraut. But that's for my side of the family's Thanksgiving on Saturday.
I'm ready to stuff myself all weekend long. And maybe eat a lot too.

For the in-laws Thanksgiving. There's always a lot of people.
I'm making bacon and maple syrup roasted brussel sprouts.

Pantry, how is the food at peacocks? I've driven past it so many times, and I have always wonder how good it is.

Yeah, not sure I'd want to be hanging around Dendro and Nevets for the game on Thursday night.

I want to make enchiladas, beans, rice and margaritas for Thanksgiving, but my wife is too traditional. So we're having lasagna.

Re: Thanksgiving prep has started...
Welp the Mrs DWags has just informed me she is Covid positive. She’s absolutely weeping upstairs. My 86 year old mom and her parents can’t come over. We have two turkeys and a shit load of food. It seems like I’m going to be driving one Turkey to my brothers in Troy and one to my sister in laws in Warren. I’ll stop and grab a prime rib I guess. We were planning for 20. Now I think it’s gonna be three. My eldest works in the medical and her boyfriend is a doctor who is doing his residency and works Friday Saturday Sunday. They cant come over
I don’t mind the food and that stuff, but my wife is weeping and saying “it’s all my fault”. Fuuuuucccckkkk. She’s heartbroken.
Any suggestions to cheer her up besides jewelry?

Crap. Sorry to hear that D Wags. I hope she has minimal symptoms and gets past it quickly.

Usually order fresh from that place but didn't feel like fighting the crowds Thanksgiving week. Mon, Tue, Wed pick up days before TG the place is a zoo.MiamiSpartan wrote:

Oh man, I can feel her pain.
I don't suppose someone gathering up the meal handing it out to family in to go boxes?
As for cheering her up....
Maybe do something around the house, or an errand, that she either has to nag you to do normally. Or is a chore that she hates doing.
And jewelry .

Best poultry in town. They supply a number of restaurants also. Nice little shop with great service. Been going there over 30 years. They sell pretty much all varieties of Uncle Peter's pasty. You should stop and check it out sometime.Dendrobates wrote:Pantry, how is the food at peacocks? I've driven past it so many times, and I have always wonder how good it is.
