but I just saw a headline that says that he "needs a miracle to survive".

dude has a legendary personality, wit, humor, is very engaging and seems like a genuine dude. I certainly hope for the best for him, his family, friends and all those connected to him within college football.

seems like they're being pretty tight-lipped about it (justifiably so. It is a private matter), but I'm guessing something cardiac-related, maybe a stroke. We'll probably find out soon enough.

Is unfortunate that Leach had his cardiac event and wasn’t discovered for 10-15 minutes. That’s a long time to be out with your heart needing to be defibrillated.

Mike Leach acted and spoke like guy who got a law degree and decided to be a football coach. His interests were all over the map from pirates to leadership of Geronimo and his offensive philosophy ran counter to the micromanagement many coaches embrace.

He was way ahead of his time.
