There could be several reasons

The Casters just say what drives ratings up and feel that no one should believe them and thus take no responsibility if people do

The Casters say that Fox tells them to say, and thus take no responsibility

The Casters cynically don't care that they are lying.

Look at the ratings.

FoxNews knows what their core audience wants and they pay their evening commentators and morning show hosts handsomely to tell that audience what they want to hear.

Why split the pie with CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and others on the crowded roster of streaming news channels when you can keep an audience who wants to hear how they are being victimized and having their country stolen from them.

Well, when left to our own devices people tend to get drunk or high and/or masturbate or have sex. Not very productive. So in effect when we are being told to do tasks by someone else, that is our most productive time from a societal standpoint.

But who knows, if we were not constantly being told what to do, who knows amidst the furious masturbation's sessions if we would come up with a good idea of our own to be a productive member. Maybe that's the secret. Furious self indulgement leading to moments of creative lucidity that allows us to make break throughs of some kind. Either that or you just keep jerking it. Win/win

To answer the thread question propaganda and disinformation isn’t anything new. It might be hard to accept its effective in our home country but time to accept that what we see happen over seas can happen here too.

The disclosure came after Superior Court Judge Eric Davis wondered aloud during a status conference last week who Fox News’ officers were.

Davis was clearly disturbed by the disclosure, coming on the eve of the trial.

“My problem is that it has been represented to me more than once that he is not an officer,” the judge said.

Dominion attorney Justin Nelson told the judge the disclosure has “a big impact” on the case. He said Fox’s failure to disclose Murdoch’s status at Fox News has deprived Dominion of “a whole bunch” of information from Murdoch as a custodian of Fox News records that it was entitled to have.

“It is something that really has impacted how we have litigated this case,” he said.

When your company is worth 80 million, and you get ten times that amount in one check, you would be insane not to take it. And, I'm assuming Fox did that so they didn't have to do any mea culpa's. I don't blame dominion but man would it have been nice to see them be actually held accountable in court. Still, defamation is a difficult case and while I think dominion could have prevailed, unless I'm mistaken about the legal process they could have been awarded much less. Fox viewers weren't going to change their minds about fox no matter the result. But a complete and utter failure in court could have encouraged fox to change a bit more effectively.
