Gebhardt was assistant to Saeed Khalif who was GM/Executive Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting. Both came from Wisconsin.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Khalif’s and Gebhardt’s contracts expired on March 31 and Gebhardt on April 15.

Once Khalif got his notice Gebhardt knew he was a dead man walking.

Khalif was let go or let walk? I assumed he moved on to what he considered greener pastures.

His contract was not renewed. Gebhardt was his #2 and neither were popular with a majority of other coaches inside Duffy.
Honestly, I hope this means the recruiting night of bling and expensive cars goes with them. That never seemed like MSU, even knowing we’re working to modify our recruiting style to meet a changing generation of teenagers.
