Olivet College baseball player shot after game on Muskingum University campus

An Olivet College baseball player was shot Friday night after a game at Muskingum University in Ohio, authorities said.

The player was taken to a hospital and in stable condition with injuries that were not life threatening, said Michele McCauley, a spokeswoman for Olivet, in Michigan.

That’s not far from Zanesville, where Mark Dantonio lived as a kid.

My son's BFF is a pitcher on Olivet... the shot kid got hit 3 times, didn't even end up needing surgery. A miracle. Totally random. The kid left his jacket in the dugout, got off the bus to run and get it... 5 seconds later runs back to the bus shot. Crazy shit.

That’s it? Jesus, that’s nuts. How is the injured guy doing and how is your kid’s friend, psychologically-speaking?

Well my son's friend is home now. They canceled the rest of the week.
From what I hear the injured kid was grazed twice and had one through his leg (maybe?). The guy shot him once then ran after him too... no one knows why. They still have no idea why any of it happened. I guess the other team was still around and they scattered to the surrounding neighborhood when they heard shots.
It had nothing to do with baseball or the kid.
