For over a half of a decade almost 9 years now it’s become so obvious that those countries want Trump as president. I don’t understand where the MAGAs disconnect of that fact comes from. Now guys like Tucker Carlson have become cheerleaders for Russia. That, after a lying organization like Fox has to fire them.

If the Republicans… accepted the fact that New York, Maryland, Illinois, California, New Jersey, Connecticut — most of the Northeast is going to go blue, why wouldn’t we put our vote to Bobby and at least get rid of Biden, and get those 28 electoral votes in New York — the card’s a little wrong, it says 26 electoral votes — give those 28 electoral votes to Bobby rather than to Biden, thereby reducing Biden’s 270. And we all know how that works, right? 270 wins the election. If you don’t get to 270, if nobody gets to 270, then Congress picks the President. So who are they going to pick? Who are they going to pick, if it’s a Republican Congress? They’ll pick Trump. So we’re rid of Biden either way. Does everybody follow that?

Catherine Belton and Joseph Menn reviewed more than 100 internal Kremlin documents from 2022 and 2023 obtained by a European intelligence service and reported in the Washington Post today that the Russian government is running “an ongoing campaign that seeks to influence congressional and other political debates to stoke anti-Ukraine sentiment.” Kremlin-backed trolls write fake “news articles, social media posts and comments that promote American isolationism, stir fear over the United States’ border security and attempt to amplify U.S. economic and racial tensions” while claiming that “Biden’s policies are leading the U.S. toward collapse.”

Aaron Blake pointed out in the Washington Post that Republicans are increasingly warning that Russian propaganda has fouled their party. Blake notes that Russia specialist Fiona Hill publicly told Republicans during the 2019 impeachment inquiry into Trump that they were repeating “politically driven falsehoods that so clearly advance Russian interests,” but Republicans angrily objected.

I've often thought that Democrats put way too much faith in the American public, in terms of our collective level of intellect and degree of intellectual curiosity.

That's one thing republicans/libertarians absolutely do not do - they know America is an extraordinarily stupid country. They tell the population that Democrats coming for their guns, their bibles.. that brown people are coming to take their jobs - and that the American judicial system and jury trials don't mean anything, and about half the country believes it.

there is a reason why republicans/libertarians demonize education and elevate churches. And the knuckle-scraping masses follow like the gullible imbeciles they've been conditioned to be.

Cost of Living - I get why Biden is blamed for the results of covid even though neither is to blame.
Immigration & Boarder Security - Republicans refusing to pay for it and Biden is blamed, doesn't make any sense.
Relations with other countries - Biden gets along with our friends, Trump gets along with our enemies, well they didn't include that bit.
Cost of Health Care - Biden has the highest number of people covered with Health Insurance, Trump tried to opposite, costs rising.
Creating jobs - Trump lost jobs, Biden has created the most ever, people are stupid.
Voting Rights & Election Security - Red States cutting voter's rights & Biden is blamed, people are stupid.
Abortion Laws - Trump's handpicked Justices create chaos, people are stupid.
Climate Chage - Trump wants more greenhouse gases, Biden using IRA to push less greenhouse gases, people are stupid.

A Trump supporter who met the former president at an Atlanta Chick-fil-A spoke out Friday against the media's coverage of Black voters, accusing mainstream outlets of "warping" the perception about Trump's popularity in the community.
