Keep your fingers crossed. You don’t know who you’ll pick up. I mean, I get it he’s a former player but I thin Kentucky was down to their third choice?

Shitty fanbase, chasing a hall of famer away... Setteling for a shit 5th -6th option. Killing the history and premier support in one swoop.
My fear for MSU.

I think they'll make a serious run at Donovan next week.

I prefer to think of him as a safety net. Why does Donovan want the chaos of recruiting?

To all of our alumni and fans: sometimes you get what you ask for. It’s scary. I hope that Izzo starts looking and planning for the transition a full year ahead of time.

It looks like Pope, the BYU coach and former Kentucky player is a big front runner for the UK job. Whole thing is messed up.

What a nightmare it would be if we got the wrong coach and started getting bounced in the first weekend every single year amirite

I’m just teasing you settle down.

Haller has proven himself quite capable in this regard. You should have more faith when that time comes.

the fact that some of the UK idiots think that Dan Hurley would leave UConn to join their three ring circus illustrates how delusional they are. And delusion is worse when it's rooted in arrogance and a lack of self-awareness.

"You mean you want me to leave program that has won six National Championships in the last 25 years, including the last two in a row, to coach at Kentucky..??

I'm kinda thinking Izzo might do the Coach K route, minus the farewell tour.

I could see him practically hand selecting his successor. Not real sure how it works relative to a public university vs the private university, in terms of a defined process, a posting, search committee, etc., though.

My wife, daughter and I were driving down to our condo in Florida. We were going to meet some people in Tennessee so we had planned ahead and got a hotel. They were a couple that were also going to Florida with their family and they had kids that were our kids ages

For the life of me, I can’t remember where it was in Tennessee, but it had to be near the university The hotel we picked was overrun with Kentucky fans. They were in about four or five Greyhound buses out in front of the hotel complex.

I guess they travel just as well as Iowa football. Yes, I get it , when you go on those trips you get a little crazy. These people were assholes. I had an MSU shirt on and the other couple my wife and I decided to forgo the hotel bar buy liquor at a store and drink in our hotel room. Definitely their version of Walmart Wolverine and let’s just say loud and obnoxious would be kind.

Calipari had a huge presence on the recruiting trail. Not sure how the new guy's gonna do. Maybe boosters will finance some portal players.

I would imagine Hurley's ask was $10 million+/year.

Picking a coach is hardly ever a sure thing and almost always a crap shoot. How about a little known basketball assistant to the legendary Judd Heathcote becoming even a bigger legend? How about a guy with HC experience coming to our football program and doing so great he got a $95 million contract?

You just never know, but for sure, don't overpay.

Don’t think Izzo would leave for UK especially after interviewing Saadi Washington for the assistant coach vacancy.
