Time to revamp the Ephorate

Whats the point exactly since the charter basically says they speak for the rest of us peons. You have 3 on there who don't really belong...

Dendro is probably not thrilled to have been volunteered and I'm sure would like to be relieved but I'm waiting to see how things shake out.

I think WBH would be a better choice at this point since he rolls his BBQ truck onto campus every home game anyway, but I highly doubt he'd accept the position.

I don't. I think the 'roughness' of this place at the beginning scared some people away. SRC has a vision for this place and he is trying to keep it in place. Giant Moose used to post here all the time, and he left because he took some things seriously, that were obviously not serious. This place was the wild west and the posters who are still here are either exiled here, or enjoy posting here, everyone else went back to their sunshine bubble.
B) There isn't any football drama right now at MSU. Mgoblog is probably much more active right now than TOS. 
5) Posters who hate each other and find each other annoying are back at TOS, hell some of them went back because they enjoy the conflict and their nemesis didn't come over here. That's the only reason I can think of that people returned to joust with Rogue Leader.
XX) This place is fine, I wish it was more active at times, but I think that the discussions we get into are better, and not filled with as much crap.

Sounds good, I was just ragging a bit on ghost and NigelUno, I do like it here too, once we get it worked on, I'll be adding in more things to bet on to help heat, I will say, the book and cards keep it from being stale, which is RCMB issue lately, 100 UM threads and I'm trying to get the hockey talkers over here

I like it over here. I hardly ever check the other board anymore. I'm not concerned about the lack of traffic. I just like this board better. Yeah, there are a few attention whores who like to think they're the life of the party, but who cares? If they want to whore themselves and other people want to engage them then I can choose to read their threads, or not, and I can choose to respond, or not. I don't miss them when they leave and I don't really care all that much when they return. They're just part of the tapestry of tSwill.

FYI...gHost's involvement in the Ephorate has always been restricted to legal purposes. Agree on Dendro.

I want to be clear here. I am in no way criticizing Dendro. I think she gets piled on here personally, but I was very careful in the way I stated my opinion for a reason. I volunteered her, she agreed to help but I think she doesn't spend as much time here as she thought she might so I can totally understand if she's less than enthusiastic and don't hold it again her at all. Appreciate her contributions so far.

Well, you may not care, but I think that it's best when the "Management" of any organization airs it's grievances with each other in private so there is at least an opportunity to understand the whole story, and, if required, provide the person(s) an opportunity to move on with their dignity intact - assuming of course that the grievances aren't due to illegal or unethical actions.

I don't like seeing you, gHost, dendro, miser, or SRC get ragged on in terms of your Ephor status or "job" responsibilities.  If the board's low status members such as myself make public complaints, that's one thing, that's just the rabble that doesn't know what's going on behind the scenes and basing opinions off little to no information.  But for the management to do it to each other, that's a different story.  Management has to rise above the rabble and conduct its affairs with dignity, class and honor.

We in the rabble have no class, that's why we're in the rabble, that's also why our opinions can be dismissed.  So dismiss away this member of the rabble.

Agree completely. This is, of course, what I really meant but was posting at work & didn't put much thought into wording & such.

All volunteer work is greatly appreciated, but there may be someone else out there who can put in more time.

And BTW...all tailgates are outreach, but not all outreach is tailgate.

And I've got nothing but love for Dendro.

Jesus Christ you guys are pansies. I stopped coming on here frequently for 2 reasons, 1) I've been busy building my career, and it as paid off. 2) Have you paid attention to the constant bickering/bashing of tRCMB and other posters. It's annoying, so I just ignored it all,and stopped coming.

Sure I could have tried more, but it's not like you guys seem really serious on getting together for something. You sound like whiney housewives and it gets old. Either pick someone else, or give me suggestions on what you would like to do.

When Bob is given free reign to post his same 3 comments over and over, AND he's banned on the other board, it's a hell of a reason to go over there instead of here. I realized that recently. I check back here often, but it would be impossible to miss a thread here. And most of those are just re-posts of threads from over there anyway, with the added drudgery of Bob posting in them.

Agreed. Bob sucks balls. If banning was allowed, he'd be at the top of my list. One of these days I'll figure out what percentage of his 2,369 posts are "this", "you're a great American", "bump", or "You can now ignore Bob". I'd put the over/under at 65%.
