Big Ten schedules were reshuffled this year with the addition of Rutgers and Maryland. It was no coincidence that UM and OSU were not matched up with any powers in the West. Iowa and UW got breaks on the other side.
The lone heavyweight matchup was MSU vs Nebraska. As it turns out that is the reason MSU and Nebraska still have a shot and OSU is likely out.
