You shouldn't feel too bad for him:

Drew Stanton - 2 year, $6,500,000 contract with the Cleveland Browns, including $4,150,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $3,250,000.

It pushes his career earnings over the 30 million mark. Not exactly Kirk Cousins money, but I could get by on it.
