The terms hats use is "one size fits most". I'm not most. I have a big head (two actually, since I'm a message board poster and all). I can usually squeeze those on my head, but they're tight enough that it gives me a headache.

But Bob's point may have been more about the feel. Even hats that are the same size are going to fit differently.
