People with legit gluten intolerance, like Celiacs, aren't usually like that, it's the fad followers that think they've been let in on the secret to eternal life and don't actually have any problem with gluten that are annoying

I don't know a lot of gluten-free people, but I know cross-fit people and I have gone from really liking someone to hating them after they started crossfit.

They've probably been glutened by gluten free stuff before. Cross contamination, screwed up order, etc. It sucks. And by default, the act of protecting yourself really makes you sound like that person. BDubs has an allergy list, but the chips without wheat are fried in the same oil as battered stuff and can cause a reaction. You don't know that if you don't ask. It sucks. At least the fad dieters have resulted in a ton of grocery options these days.

The wife worked at a chinesse resturaunt in the 90's. The owner/cook was dealing with the MSG "allergy" craze. For the phonies he knew about, he added extra.
