When you said the Packers were going to win the Super Bowl this year, I accused you of being a crack addict. That was wrong. I apologize. The Packers look sharp right now. Even with a few missed opportunities, they still beat a NE team that has really put it together since the start of the season. Right now I see the Packers as the team to beat the NFC.

I lived in the UP for several years as a kid, having moved from the Lansing area at age 8. I was prior to that a hardcore Lions fan and hated the Packers. This was right at the end of the Lombardi era. I never lost the Lions Fan in me, but I became a solid fan of the Packers, too. Once in your blood, they never leave. So for years and years, I had 2 fairly shitty teams to follow in the NFL. When the Lions did better, I rooted for the Lions and so on and so on for many hum-drum, disappointing seasons.

Then came Favre and now Rodger. So now, I consider myself a Packer Fan, but not just because they win. Its for the reasons DWAGS could be so self-assured the Pack would win the Super Bowl: They have a great QB and the BEST organization in the NFL, bar none. The management knows what its doing, they get the players the coaches want, they let the coaches coach. In turn, the players know what a fabulous place Green Bay is to play and live- especially of you are serious about being an NFL player and not a drug-using whoremonger. So the players love to play there in what is a close to a college atmosphere as there can be in the NFL. What is not to love? What is not to believe in?

But to be fair, remember I thought the Lions could go 12-4 last year. So there's that. I think that sufficiently takes the shine off my packers prediction.
