Michigan State head football coach Mark Dantonio announced on Saturday the restructuring of his defensive staff for the 2015 season.

Secondary coach Harlon Barnett and linebackers/special teams coach Mike Tressel, who have both been on Dantonio's staff since his arrival at MSU in 2007, have been promoted to co-defensive coordinators. Barnett also has been named assistant head coach.

Looks like Renaldo Hill might be one replacement?

DALLAS -- Former Michigan State and NFL cornerback Renaldo Hill attended the Spartans' practice at AT&T Stadium on Monday and is expected to interview for the team's defensive assistant opening, according to an athletic department source.

Hill, 36, coached Wyoming's cornerbacks in 2013, one year after joining the Cowboys' staff in the summer of 2012 as a graduate assistant.

Dantonio was Hill's position coach on the Nick Saban-led Spartans, and Hill earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2000 while also serving as a team captain.

According to a Casper Star-Tribune story, Dantonio offered Hill a graduate assistant position after he returned to Michigan State to finish his degree in 2012.
