Is tSwill dead/dying?

I don't want to go back to tRCMB...

I got a ban on tRCMB sometime this morning(wasn't banned as of like 3am).

There are posts from Thursday on the front page. Traffic has been light.

Traffic is way down because Tanfan and gHost took their dance back over to tRCMB....They turn every thread with Nigel, Duffy, and each other into some slapfest about each other. Really fucks up some pretty good threads.

Traffic is light, but keeping the site up is not much work so its not going anywhere.

AFAIC, we're only one bad programming blunder away from having a nightmare onslaught of bonars on the site.

On another note, I DO see a definite waning of content and traffic (not by the numbers but more of a gut feel). It is disappointing.

One thing gHost was dead right about was the need yo drive new posters here and not rely on the RCMB crowd. Need to start a hash tag campaign or something. #tSwill #SpartanSwill or something.

Wait until 247 goes bankrupt and Trevor decides to pull the plug. Would be an interesting case to see what happens. Biggest complaint I've heard, ironically, is that there isn't enough moderation.

Traffic is lighter over at tRCMB as well. The front page never used to have threads that were older than 4 hours. Now they have some that are 15, not saying its dying or anything, but its not what it used to be either. There isn't a lot of new blood. If I ask any of my cousins that go to MSU if they know what tRCMB is, they would tell me no. Avg age here has to be around 30-35. I don't know a lot of twenty somethings anymore, but the few I've interacted with are much more interested in social media than message boards.

Rexrode mentions tRCMB now and again, getting some notice from him or one of the other beat writers would be helpful.

A great football season is over, the basketball team is close to having a historically rough season, so there isn't much to talk about. Shit, I think this my first post here since Wednesday. Between Twitter and tSwill, there's no need to check the other place. If I want hardcore recruiting X/O talk I'll check the Bunker but I rarely do that.

Honestly...there were more people and then they left. That should tell you everything you need to know (I'm not saying that in a negative way). The people that remain (myself included) want to be here even if they are still posting there too. The ones that left just wanted to vent and when things improved they bolted. Let them go. Maybe this is the right size for now. Come football season we may want to start using social media to send the word out but as SRC mentioned football is over and basketball is not having the best season this year.
