Lawrence Thomas ready for a breakthrough year

Really thought he had found a home on offense. The guy had some soft hands and looked good at fullback.

Can't wait to see what he can do on defense.

I for one, think LT belonged on the DL from the get go, Burton will do him justice. I'm excited to finally see him get some significant reps, it has been a long time coming.

The punt coverage tackle in the Rose Bowl was a nice reminder that he is an athletic freak. Just need him to stay healthy.

That didn't loo right or natural on TV. It was like it was photoshopped in live action. Freak play.

And if you listened to coaches talking about him during Rose Bowl practice and some of the spring ball, several basically said that is he is healthy he is gone after this year because of just how good he actually is.

Nah. He's entering his 4th year. I try to be objective about my own team like I am about others...otherwise you'd be a hypocrite. If a very highly recruited player was at, let's say UM, and really hadn't done anything going into his senior year...what would you say about him?

He has yet to see meaningful reps on defense. If he can stay healthy and get a real chance, you will believe it.

Obviously injuries have played a role, but he was a pretty damn good fullback in 2012. Not what you'd expect out of a 5-star LB recruit but hey, contribution is contribution. So he's been decent for at least 1 of the 2 years he's been able to play and has 2 years to go. He's not entering his senior year, he's entering his RS JR year.
