HAAhahahaha..this is awesome. I am still waiting to hear back from my sales guy after sending him an email saying he has to resolve this. I am calling that number if it doesnt work. I may record the call just for entertainment purposes.

UPDATE for those who care - When we sat and went through the numbers Lexus called Ford Motor Credit and we got the payoff amount from Ford. They SAID nothing to us about this policy that another car manufacturer can not pay off a lease. We made it very clear we were calling from Lexus. This whole issue is a Ford Motor Credit policy. I have now gone back again to tell Lexus the only way around this is for them to take care of my final two payments and I go turn the car into Ford. I am waiting to hear back.

Ford just wants to get you in the dealership to try to get you to lease another car. Have Lexus write a check, and go turn the Explorer in. I bet they take the money.
