Big Weekend Planned Empty Big Weekend Planned

Post by Rocinante Thu Apr 02, 2015 10:53 am

I rented a tiller. Going to till up the garden, and add some dirt from an old pile that was left by the previous occupants of the house. Fence it off from the GODDAM FUCKING DEER, split and stack about two cords of firewood for next winter, and I got a video game I'm going to be getting into after that.

That's about it.... What are you guys up to?

Obligatory I've got a pretty nice little Saturday planned. We're going to go to Home Depot. Buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time

Big Weekend Planned Empty Re: Big Weekend Planned

Post by Guest Thu Apr 02, 2015 11:06 am

Planning a Saturday morning jaunt into the big city (Saginaw), 1st time in a place with population over 2,000 since sometime last fall. Still waiting for Bob's advice on what weaponry I should load into the truck to assure my safety. I'm hoping the big adventure will help with my nerves leading up to the game Saturday night.

lol, I've lived in a couple big cities and visited every town over 50K in the US and I'm mighty happy where I'm at right now. Venture out to stock up now and then, otherwise I only have to deal with people on the interwebs.

Big Weekend Planned 1966794946 Not even close, scUM had no chance to warp me. My kids are around fairly often and I babysit my grandson quite a bit so I'm not a complete hermit. After 30+ years of dealing with the general populace daily at work, I tired of the bullshit so I avoid it.

You people need to get focused on the game. Put your personal shit aside and sacrifice. I see no breakdown of film, nobody is faxing Izzo offensive sets or ideas on how to defend Okafor. Blanch is the only one taking this stuff seriously. Tilling your garden? Really?

Iran. He is going to protest Christians in Indiana who don't want to cater gay weddings, by visiting a country where Muslims execute gays as soon as they are outed.

I bet he is headed to the backwoods of
North Carolina. For this trip he will leave the Prius at home and take the 1995 Chevy Silverado with 4x4, a 6 inch lift, oversized tires, a modified exhaust, and a Dixie flag attached to the roll bar.

I plan to spend tonight and tomorrow breaking down some Duke game film. Then I'll fax off a few offensive sets to Tommy, with some ideas on how to contain Okafor. Maybe write a few motivational quotes for him to use in his pre-game speech. Sunday is Easter, and dinner with the family.

My parents used to make hard cider but not on purpose. Would go to Elton Johnson's old fashioned cider mill and take home about 15 gallons of fresh squeezed cider. Mom would stow it all in our root cellar. After a while, the stuff would get a little "fizzy", then the milk jugs would kind of puff like a balloon. Eventually we would chuck it but I supposed if we let it set much longer...

I don't but I have a cousin who does. He used to learn cidermaking from the last guy who was in charge of the hard cider program at Cornell, and has his old notebook on cidermaking. He makes fantastic cider out of a mix of Baldwins and our Empires. I have a few bottles in my basement...maybe I should drink them on Saturday.

I have pictures if you want them. It was "hidden" (not well, apparently) at the state park that is across from the fire stattion when you turn to go out on the Cape. It had a note in it for you too. Why somebody would take something that was clearly not meant for them, I don't know.
