This
His shoulder is either fubar or they don't believe in is his arm. Anything else is ancillary.

#Lions GM Bon Quinn: We scouted Connor Cook, had no issues with him "as a player or a person," or his medicals. Isn't sure why he's fallen.

No offense... what do you want him to say? "Our scouts say he is a POS with a blown out shoulder and can't throw a deep ball"

Would take trading some 2017 ammo to likely do it, but I hear the Bills trying to find way to land Connor Cook tomorrow

That's not a bad thing and I assumed he was running to mom and dad as any Ohio kid who was shunned by OSU and had just beat them. But I wonder if an NFL team sees that and doesn't like it.
Or maybe his shoulder is fucked up.
While it was supposed to help that we run a pro style offense, was Cook really going through progressions and making reads? Maybe that got exposed with some NFL teams.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft
It's gotta be the shoulder. NFL QBs are as a rule either cocky bastards or cocky Christians.
The Captain thing is just something for the media to hang their hat on.
The comp percent thing is over blown - a lot of Cook's throws were downfield not to backs

Re: 2016 NFL Draft
(Updated)
Here are the teams that worked him out (or met with him):
Connor Cook, QB: Ravens (PRI) Bills (PRI) Bears^ (COM, PRI)Browns^ (COM, PRO, WOR) Cowboys^ (WOR, PRI) Broncos (PRI) Texans (COM) Dolphins (WOR) Saints (PRI) 49ers^ (PRO, WOR, PRI) Rams (PRO) Redskins (COM)
I think some team is going to see 1st/2nd Round Value with a 4th Round Pick.
I say he goes in the first 10 picks of the 4th Round. The Browns have the first 2 picks (although I don't think they're taking him...some team could trade with them).
The Cowboys pick 3rd.
The Ravens pick 6th and 9th.
The Chiefs pick 7th and 8th.
One of those teams will pick him or make a trade (in which he gets picked by someone else).

Re-watching games, I think he does make reads. I also think he takes more chances and does check down to backs. That was part of his percentage problem

Multiple teams now attempting to trade up to first pick in 4th round, currently belonging to Browns, per source. A QB figures to be target

I apologize for the Cook character assassination. Can we adopt the Raiders as the Official Swill NFL team?

Raiders fans seem to think it was either a FU to Jerry Jones, or because McGloin will be gone after next year.

Like the Leos draft. Who knows if these guys can play, but 3 OL, 1 DT, a freakin LB to replace Tulloch and a SS
Grab a flier WR or RB and call it a day.

We need Spartan Swill insiders Wakefield to weigh in on this.
Not sure why the Raiders would trade up if the NFL at large thought this was an issue.
