It's not a religious thing for me but rather more about a kid using that classtime to learn something else that would be more useful for them instead.

Is there a test to determine who needs to take French class? I would treat it just like any other elective. If you think you need it or want to learn it, then it's there for you to take it.

Some people do think they need it or want to take French to expand their horizons. I don't think forcing sex ed class on people who don't think it's useful is the way to go.

Those are probably the people who need it the most. Unless they post on tRCMB, then there is no need for sex ed.
