True Detective Season 2

The ending of season 1 kind of took out all the wind for me. I'll pay attention of its on.

Season 1 was so good that the last episode seemed like such a bummer at the time. I watched it a few days ago when it was on and respected it much more the second time around.

The last episode of season 1 was hugely unsatisfactory. Lots of building up to something that was never really resolved

The city manager has a pretty fucked up house.

I have no idea what is going on with this episode.

Colin Ferrell's character is seriously fucked up though.

I loved the build up so much that I'm willing to give this a try. But yeah the payoff for season 1 was shit.

I'm hooked now. Colin Ferrell can't be dead already, can he? What was the shooter wearing? Some sort of bug or bird suit?

Also, nice to see awkward car conversations have made it into season 2 as well.

Shooter was wearing the Crow mask that he had in the car he was driving Casper around in in the 1st episode. Also note it was "missing" from the wall in that Hollywood house as there were 3 other animal head masks there and an empty spot for the crow.

Would have been the same thing he did to Casper. It did look like more of a gut shot to me.

First two episodes have seemed a little clunky and all over the place.

Hopefully is starts to pickup and there are some really fucked up scenes to kind of save the season.

Agree about the 1st episode. The second episode seemed more focused to me, and that ending has me hooked. I'm a sucker for really weird shit going down in movies/tv. Was a big fan of the 1st season of Twin Peaks.

I give all shows at least 3 episodes to hook me in. This season is running out of time. Watching Velcro get shot did nothing for me. They are trying too hard IMO with all of the weird characters already. Need some balance.
