hmmmm Most ranked for wealth or the amount of McMansions. T.C. makes the list for most private schools per capita.

Re: Michigan's ten snobbiest places.
According to the story, these cities aren't really snobby compared to cities in other states and as the everythig is relative department, Michigan is pretty laid back.
Didn't realize the private school thing up in TC was that big. Pretty good public school system..

Yeah don't get that. I guess in the 35 years I've been familiar with the Okemos area, I never stopped there. Just kind of cruised through it to Detroit. So, I can't speak to the snobbiest part of it. didn't they fire a coach cause he was too tough on the kids in football a couple of years ago?

I don't really see Michigan as being all that snobby in general.
The only thing about people in Michigan is that they tend to overvalue their state, but I don't think having state pride is all that snobby.

Did not see Moose posting something about people overvaluing Michigan. Just did not see it coming.

I think I read Blanch is from Midland. So maybe it has something to do with Blanch.

How did Birmingham not make the list? Birmingham less snobby than Northville, Rochester, Troy, etc? Um, no. Bloomfield Hills??

How AA, Grosse Pointe, Birmingham & Bloomfield Hills are not on the list makes no sense. Grosse Pointe, especially. Some major douchebags there

Listen, Roch is on to something. We can either spend our time debating who should be on the list, or spend our time making fun of AA. I vote make fun of AA. It's a wretched and vile place.

Honestly, I would put East Lansing up there. Residents are always quick to turn their noses up against surrounding communities.

It's kind of a black mark on the community...and the Rose Bowl.

Does the Bob-types hate students or just the people that run the city?

I think that is a different sub culture of snobs.
Bob types ironically turn their noses up and make fun of MSU as well. I am not sure if this segment exists beyond one person though.

Re: Michigan's ten snobbiest places.
I live in East Lansing for a lot of reasons and one of the reasons is because of the students. I just prefer them to act in a respectful, mature way and to conduct themselves accordingly.Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:Herbie Green wrote:Honestly, I would put East Lansing up there.
