Welp, this will be the 5th year in a row I'm dragging my ass to the local POS high school teams game.

Coach is worthless.

Coach is the head of the Union. 4 years 8 total victories. It's like pulling teeth

Brings this to mind...

I just sit and silently suffer. Daughters were in the dance team now just one is. The older one used to get pissed the younger doesn't care. I quit caring. Oldest used to yell to me "he's in a fricken gap 8 in the goal line dad!" Youngest could give a rip. Neither can I. I saw Dakota up by 49 points at half against us once.

I'm going to a HS game tonight too. Sophomore cousin is starting at tailback after lighting up JV last year as a freshman. Really excited for him.

Sounds like that coach needs to be fired.  

I, on the other hand, live in the Mecca of HS football, but still haven't made it to a single game yet.  That's gonna change this fall!  Heck, a national powerhouse school plays right in my backyard!

A benefit of my youngest graduating was not feeling duty bound to attend his high school's games. He liked to go because a lot of his friends from basketball and baseball played on the football team.

With him at MSU I get together with the father of one his basketball teammates and we choose 6-7 games we want to attend. This week its EGR vs GR Catholic Central

With 6 divisions there is usually at least a couple of good games every week. 5 years ago who would have thought we'd ever see a Zeeland West - Zeeland East rivalry be competitive

Tonight will be a great night, right about 68 degrees at kickoff....much better than October and November games

I've got this year and two more after. I pretty much guarantee you they never sniff the playoffs.

I don't mind good HS ball. But it's hard to find. And for five years I've despised watching it.

I think the team from my high school was probably near the top for the conference, so I guess we were good. I thought the games sucked. I just remember it being a good time to socialize/hang out.

The worse high school sporting event is the wrestling meets. Bunch of dudes rolling around and grinding each other on a mat. Not my scene.

Wow I can't imagine what it'll be like when my own kid is playing. My cuz fumbled and I felt like i got stabbed Ended up with 100ish yards on 6 carries with a TD and a fumble. Good win.

Cousin went for 170ish and 3 TDs tonight according to my uncle

We were losing 35-0 at half. I left.
