I'm calling a moratorium on fucking rose bowl shirts IMMEDIATELY

Sitting in the lobby of the Marriott this morning I've noticed there are a shit ton of parents like my wife and I. People who dropped their kids off from where ever who are also alumni and who stayed to party or whatever last night.

Problem is about 50% of those people are wearing rose bowl shit coming out of the elevator. Fuck that. Fold it, put it away maybe wear it at the house once in a while when wolverine friends come over but we need to move the fuck on.

That is all.

Watching the Gameday preview on ESPN. 10 minute segment on Jimmay and the inevitable return to prominence of Michigan. All four guys on set absolutely salivating about the future of the big ten and how OSU Michigan will mean something again. Harbs and URB, Meyer and Jimmy over and over. Nary a mention of any other team in the conference.

I have a Rose Bowl golf shirt. Has MSU/Roses and 100th Rose Bowl. I'll occasionally wear it.
It was the 100th Rose Bowl. MSU went and won.

But I wear a lot of generic MSU gear I wear a lot more often. I'll admit to being superstitious. If the boys win Friday night in Kalamazoo I'll wear the same shirt every time they play until they lose.

I can understand your frustration. You don't want to see MSU's fan base turn into what we hate. Walverines turned green. I also take into account you'll be watching women's volleyball Friday night while the rest of us will be watching the football team on ESPNU or in person at Waldo Stadium.

She got to (had to) move in early as she was involved in a video shoot and other commitments this Friday and weekend at MSU. Her room mate who is the daughter of an old MSU friend of my wife was not allowed to move in till today and I guess they had to pay extra to do that. Anyway, my wife being my wife tells her friend we'll stick around and help them move in too. So I'm just pulling out of the dorm buying coaxial cable and a carpet remnant and just fucking shoot me. I was fired up because yesterday was gonna be quick cause she had the early move in and I figured we'd hit up the Riv and ricks and maybe Harpers and reminisce and drink and enjoy the night. But I had to double back a bit hung over today cause my wife is way nicer than I am.

I dont wear any RB gear. I bought some but it's mostly fug stuff that is badly designed. Maybe i missed all the cool RB gear but I doubt it. My kids can wear it in 10 years to tailgates.

Post-season event clothing has mostly sucked for nearly 15 years. My FF and NC shirts from '99, '00, and '01 were the last years I bought anything. I still have them and are in surprisingly good shape, despite me wearing them a lot. I could probably sell them on eBay for twice what I paid for them. Not that I would.
And speaking of accessories, the hats are pure garbage.
