So far, these are the excuses I've heard.
1) Homesick, or too far away.
2) Grade issues and may go the JUCO route or to the SEC (the scum excuse)
3) Mentor is encouraging player to take all 5 officials, specifically, Hawaii, UCLA, Miami, Corpus Christi (in March) with an open hand to any and all gifts.
4) Bama offered and MSU Legacy is swept away with that.

The thing that cracks me up about these decommits, is how damn fast the blue wall has that shit posted. I'm pretty sure when there is a um decommit it takes a few days, and then they wait until the slowest time possible to make a little blurb about it, if its mentioned at all.

Hunter Rison is a 2017 recruit. If you think Alabama was going to go quietly into the night without keeping in contact you are dreaming..
Its not because of one loss. Its because the kid who hasn't finished his junior season is hearing from recruiting power houses like Alabama where Nick Saban was DC/DB coach in Andre Rison's first two seasons at MSU.
Get used to it. MSU is going after bonafide stars and competing for players with schools known for their recruiting prowess. (fill in the blanks)
Back 10-15 years ago every 4* and 5* took at least 3 visits, more often all 5 allowed before ever giving a verbal and signing day was more exciting because 5*'s who took all 5 visits would wait until the 11th hour.
Right now Hunter Rison goes back into the pool. I'm not going to wear off skin wringing my hands over the only player in the '17 class to give a verbal to have second thoughts.
