I agree with Groucho Marx.
Wouldn't want to be a member of any club that would want me as a member. ( Even if I got a hat)

Here's a link to USA Today's 2015 College Football Salaries.
http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/
Justin Fuentes reportedly left a $3M/year contract unsigned at Memphis to go to VaTech.
Beamer was getting $2.77M this year.
Iowa State will at least triple the $495/yr Campbell was making at Toledo.

The AD is out as well. Then there is this...
The other obstacle right now is that Rutgers office of enterprise risk management, ethics and compliance is investigating the football program with assistance from an outside firm specializing in NCAA infractions.
A point of concentration in the investigation is the program's compliance with the Rutgers athletics drug-testing policy.
Hermann and the head coach of any given sport are supposed to be aware of any and all violations and thus she could be found culpable of lack of oversight if the report is as damning as school officials fear.

Delaney will hold his nose and continue to watch the conference collect $1 per mth basic cable system subscription for the millions of homes and thousands of businesses in the Northern NJ and NYC markets.
Rutgers is like the designated fish rich guy you always have at poker night. One of the only teams that could add as much annual revenue income to replace Rutgers might be ND and have shown they want no part of the Big Ten multiple times.

Durkin might consider the Maryland job if offered. That job is backed by Kevin Plank / Under Armour money. Durbin is where Narduzzi was. Getting paid a big enough number Power 5 jobs will be the only ones he needs to consider.
Durkin is a Bowling Green grad but BGSU was / is paying Babers about $400K/season and don't think Durkin will take a pay cut. He's at least making the $888K they were paying Mattison last season.

I also wonder with all the unrest in Baltimore last year, with all the unrest in Missouri, does Maryland owe it to everyone to interview a minority candidate before they give the job to Durkins? Seems like the right thing to do.

If he could hold the DC/MD talent there and dip into VA and GA a bit they could be quite formidable.

Re: New Head Coaches for 2016
A couple of things from Football Scoop
http://footballscoop.com/the-scoop/
Syracuse: Sources tell FootballScoop that Ohio State defensive coordinator Chris Ash is a strong candidate for the head coaching position at Syracuse. Ash has served as co-defensive coordinator at Ohio State the past two seasons, as DC at Arkansas in 2013 and at Wisconsin in 2011 & 2012. We have not heard a timetable for a decision and were told earlier today that other candidates were still in the process.
Mark Richt: Sources in the profession relay that Mark Richt has been contacted by multiple programs. Update> Richt, on his coaching show noted that he was contacted by 5 programs today. Sources tell us that South Carolina could wind up being the one; but there are others and with Richt it’s all about fit. Jeff Ermann noted this afternoon that Maryland has reached out to Richt.

PSU's James Franklin - fired OC John Donovan who Franklin hired when he took the PSU job
Purdue's Darrell Hazell - fired OC John Shoop, DC Greg Hudson and DLine coach Rubin Carter. All had been with Hazell all 3 seasons in West Lafayette.
