This was 20 years ago and they were about to overhaul it when I quit - from a bunch of smaller exams into fewer bigger exams. I think it was exam 140 - the mathematics of intetest rates. I knew that shit backwards and foreward but failed it 2 or 3 times. The last time I went in I looked at those questions and just drew a blank. I couldn't study that again for another 6 months to call in for the results and hear "the results for candidate #4167 - fail"
So I went to grad school and got my MBA in finance. Trust me, that shit is mickey mouse compared to those actuarial exams. MBA, CPA, FSA, whatever nothing is remotely as hard as that shit. Some dudes I worked with were smarter than me and became associates in their 20s. You might be one of those dudes but either way I think you will do very well having made it this far
