That is a really awkward way to say he told you he did not plan to leave.

Pittman was OL coach one year at Tennessee with Chaney and joined him in Little Rock.

The SEC seems to do a lot of hiring withn the conference.  Beilema and Arkansas will never be able to beat Alabama, Florida, Georgia and TAMU when things go to bidding wars for assistants.  Plus Pittman may have liked working with Chaney more than he did Enos.

Article in USA Today talked about Alabama's Speed and Strength coach getting a new contract @ over $500K that will be more than many D1 HC's who aren't in Power 5 conferences.

Anyway, Pittman has been a prized assistant since arriving in Fayetteville. Nick Saban tried to hire him at Alabama shortly after Bielema hired him. Arkansas had to pay Pittman nearly a coordinator's salary to keep him. His salary last year of $525,000 was the 62nd-highest salary of any assistant coach in the country last year, according to USA Today's just-released database.
