What do you do if it's full? Just leave it outside the box?

How do they expect a baby to crawl up there, let alone open that thing with their tiny baby arms?

Probably a knee-jerk reaction to seeing this story in the news yesterday about a California woman who abandoned three babies from three separate pregnancies in grocery sacks in the 80s.

Some states have some type of haven laws. I think Nebraska has one. Where you can drop your newborn off without fear of prosecution. I believe they are designed so that instead of endangering the infant, the state has said they will take care of the child.Watch Out Pylon! wrote:Just gotta go drop of the kid. What the fuck?

I thought in most states you could drop newborns off at fire stations.

They don't, but they have a lot of experience saving kittens and it's pretty much the same thing.

it looks like the sort of thing where you might get charged a late fee..
like if the kid has a beard or there's evidence of a hip replacement or corrective eyewear.. they might charge you 10 cents/day.

I'm just glad we live in such a progressive culture/society where easy solutions like these are available.

Not trying to start a fight here, just an explanation for those that don't know the origin of Knights of Columbus.
Knights of Columbus = Catholic's men's organization = pro life = trying to walk the walk and not just talk it. Obviously it's not the best solution but it's certainly better than some of the things you hear about desperate mothers doing with newborns.

Probably. Anyone else think of the episode of MASH with the baby left in the Lazy Susan at the monastery?

For The_Dude:
flab·ber·gast
ˈflabərˌɡast/
verbinformal
past tense: flabbergasted; past participle: flabbergasted
surprise (someone) greatly; astonish.
"this news has left me totally flabbergasted"

I drink good beer, don't use tobacco, don't own a gun, dress kind of preppy, white collar career, and am not a handyman. Probably one of the least redneck people on here.
It's officially beer 30 bros!
