Was thinking about that too but the original design probably didn't have adequate drainage to allow that.

It's a shame to see it in that state. They just need to tear it down and put it out of its misery.

You didn't miss anything. The implosion failed and the dome is still standing.

From some of the comments I've seen: The Silverdome doesn't usually implode until after 1:00 PM, that might be the problem.

The best on I've seen was that this is what's called failing to complete the process, but that's because it was me.

Now that I think about it I heard it too. Wasn't very loud at work. Sounded like thunder in the distance.

Hope they had some cameras set up inside on the field and the footage comes out.
