Look, every investigation up to and including the most recent congressional GOP committee report concluded that HRC didn't do anything illegal. No indictment was forthcoming, not from Congress and not from the FBI. The entire matter was on its way to going away. But now, with Bill meeting in private w/the AG, it gives the appearance that he's asking for a favor from the head of law enforcement in the whole country. It gives new life to the entire matter. He fucked up royally on this, and HRC is the one who will have to deal with the fallout.

Why bother to hide what any thinking person knew? The fix is in, has been in from Day 1.
The press and the White House will run cover for them and this will soon be a non story.
In another administration there would be calls for her resignation.

He probably needed to convince her to get this done.
EXCLUSIVE: State Department Won’t Release Clinton Foundation Emails for 27 Months
EXCLUSIVE: State Department Won’t Release Clinton Foundation Emails for 27 Months
Department of Justice officials filed a motion in federal court late Wednesday seeking a 27-month delay in producing correspondence between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s four top aides and officials with the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings, a closely allied public relations firm that Bill Clinton helped launch.
If the court permits the delay, the public won’t be able to read the communications until October 2018, about 22 months into her prospective first term as President. The four senior Clinton aides involved were Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Fuchs, Ambassador-At-Large Melanne Verveer, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin.
The State Department originally estimated that 6,000 emails and other documents were exchanged by the aides with the Clinton Foundation. But a series of “errors” the department told the court about Wednesday evening now mean the total has grown to “34,116 potentially responsive documents.”
During Clinton’s four years as America’s chief foreign diplomat, her aides communicated with officials at the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings where Bill Clinton was formerly both a client and paid consultant, on the average of 700 times each month, according to the Justice Department filing.

You look.
There was a fucking war where 4000 American soldiers died along with over 100,000 Iraqis under completely false pretenses and I don't give a fuck about emails or fucking benghazi. They are the least of my concerns and I hope W. and Cheney and all their progeny suffer for eternity for the shit they did. Fucking emails. Jesus Christ.
I don't even like the bitch, but I hope she gets the presidency and the congress and shoves a hundred new liberal ass laws down the throats of the right, because fuck them.

House vote 296-133 Including Waxman, Wexler, Markey & Kennedy voting aye.
Senate vote - 77-23 Including Kerry, Clinton & Schumer among the ayes.
All of them saw the same intelligence that Bush/Cheney saw. Perhaps the intelligence was incorrect, but to blame Bush/Cheney for that is a huge stretch and always has been.
PS I would have voted NO had I been a member of either body and especially would have voted no on the so called "good war" in Afghanistan. Any student of history would know getting involved in a land war in the middle east or asia is the height of stupidity.

PPS - Clinton is the "Right" - it's weird the Dems are going to nominate someone that is much more conservative than most of the base and the Reps are going to nominate someone that is much more liberal than most of the base.

You know it's been proven that they all knew the evidence we used to justify the war in Iraq was falsified right? Every top government official knew it was false including Powell who had to present it to the UN and look like a complete jackass/thrown under the bus after it was all proven false.
Also for the record what Hillary did with her e-mails was 100% illegal and anyone not named Clinton would have lost their job months ago.

I understand she's leaving the decision up to "non-partisan career staff members"-as if that exists.AnomanderRake wrote:Loretta Lynch, Attorney General is going to remove herself from the decision on the Clinton e-mails. FBI indictment is imminent! Probably not but a guy can dream...

I can complain about whatever I want buddy. Also, everything I've ever seen is innuendo and accusation with circumstantial evidence or post hoc court of opinion stuff. As far as I know, she's never been convicted of anything. Tempest in a teapot until further notice.
And finally, I want to say that the vitriolic hatred of her by the right and others is actually having the opposite of its intended effect on me. I'm starting to root for her.

Re: Bubba Clinton and AG Lynch meet in private, setting off alarms from both major parties
I will defend Lynch to this extent. She got caught flat footed. A former US President, the same guy who nominated her to the US Attorney's office in 1999 shows up unannouced and basically walks in. Lynch didn't stop him from entering the plane. Even if it had been a 3-5 minute meeting it would look just as bad.
I am naive enough to believe if AG Lynch had more than minutes notice of the former President showing up she or her staff would have stopped the meeting for all the obvious reasons. We can talk about what's right al day but when a former US President pops in no staff member for AG Lynch was going to stop it if they want to keep their job.
If I'm advising the Clinton campaign its time someone tells the former President its not his show this time around. He's not running for a 3rd term and he had better learn to stay to the script to the letter and that includes "Just happen to be at the same airport" shit.

If you're advising the Clinton campaign then you're likely a vapid sociopath.
The idea that a former president has a family foundation that solicits money from foreign governments is going to have his wife as president is so corrupt as to be laughable. "Now your highness, I know oil is tough right now, but if ya just open the money tap a little wider, well I think the president might be open to some discussion."
I know I always say this about both parties but this election it's especially true... if you're entertaining the thought of voting for either the GOP or Dem candidate in this election, you're the exact type of person that should not be voting. Period.

The idea that former US Presidents sit around and collect pensions shows some folks are clueless or ignore the last 50 years.
People advise campaigns or try to if Trump has hired you.
Like it or not, being a former US President carries a lot of influence even if you resigned in disgrace. (See Nixon)
I thinks it's so cute how folks bitch about choices but never change who they support at the county and state level.
Have all you whiners like Xsanguine been vapid when voting since 1980?
I have long thought a reason Sanders hasn't officially endorsed HRC is he is waiting to see what happens after the FBI interview with HRC.
On the other side of the aisle I don't think Trump is the slam dunk nominee. His spot on the ticket still has to get past the rules committee that has several members who want to free delegates prior to the first vote.

Hardly.
I know the Democrats built a coalition of voters that ended up nominating HRC and the GOP unwittingly built a similar coalition that ended up choosing Trump. The latter much to the dismay of some that aren't anti-everything.
