Obviously, everybody put down their cameras in order to assist the drowning rodent. Someone swam out to save it, someone threw a life ring on a rope, two others pulled the pair to safety. Another two helped the lifesaver and chipmunk out of the water, someone ran to get towels for the swimmer and the victim, someone called for an ambulance, someone waited to direct the EMS crew, and finally, somebody performed CPR while another pumped the chipmunks chest.

Send the rodents over to my house. I've yet to see one survive for more than 24 hours before being turned into squirrel pancake in front of my house. Chipmunks are a different matter entirely though. They're smart enough to stay out of the road.

Turned on to my street in Royal Oak years ago getting home from work. Beautiful day...had the windows down. Bunch of young kids playing on the sidewalk.

Squirrel ran in front the car so fast didn't have time to even think about hitting the brakes. Could hear it pop under a tire, followed by the kids on the sidewalk letting out a collective, "Ewww!". Looked in the rearview mirror and there was nothing but a twitching tail that seemed to have sprouted up from the pavement.

Speaking of menaces, there's a killer dove trying to get in here through the window over my fireplace and murder me.

Obviously your window killed its mate.
