Not class d anymore

Not class D usually doesn't factor into things as much in basketball (or volleyball or soccer) because of AAU.
Merchant and others saw her play against other players who were also recruited by Big Ten and Top 25 programs.
Might be like Isaiah Dahlman. He lit it up playing HS in MN and with his AAU team. He was a good student and great teammate at MSU but his game never adjusted to Big Ten basketball

MSU women's basketball lands top-five recruit

Michigan State women's basketball coach Suzy Merchant has added to her 2017 recruiting class with one of the nation's top players.

Sidney Cooks, a 6-foot-4 forward from Kenosha (Wisconsin) St. Joseph Catholic, signed with the Spartans on Tuesday morning.

Cooks is ranked the No. 5 overall recruit in the nation by ESPN HoopGurlz and averaged 23.1 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 3.7 blocks as a junior.

I ddin't realize the PG from East Lansing was actually from West Virginia and moved to EL half way through her senior season. That must have had some drama back home. I think she is better than Green was.
