Is Sex Really Good For Your Health? New Study Casts Doubts

EAST LANSING (WWJ) – It’s generally thought that good sex is good for your health — but a new study shows that’s not necessarily the case for everyone.
Having sex frequently — and enjoying it — puts older men at higher risk for heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems. For older women, however, good sex may actually lower the risk of hypertension.
The findings are part of the first large-scale study of how sex affects heart health in later life. The federally funded research, led by a Michigan State University scholar, is published online in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior.
“These findings challenge the widely held assumption that sex brings uniform health benefits to everyone,” Hui Liu, MSU associate professor of sociology, said in a statement.

from my experience, it's never been good for anyone.. in fact, some might call it downright disappointing.
