Graham - What is you thought on Mark Hollis' legacy at MSU? Is his one that is just not talked about? Is it Paterno-esque, meaning complicated and divisive?

It's TBD. Complicated now. I plan to get into this shortly in a column. It's not Paterno-esque, I don't believe. Because Hollis, I truly believe, had no knowledge of Nassar, the way Paterno appeared to with Sandusky.


(for the record, Hollis, if I recall correctly, stated that he didn't think he had ever even met Larry Nassar).

I just wanted to thank you for being balanced during this tumultuous time. The national media seems to want to run with the mixing of the Nassar case and the OTL report. You have been quite insightful, and posed a lot of fair questions. Some you've taken gas over, and some you've been praised for. As an Alum this is an uneasy time. Your thoughts are first and foremost with the victims, but to pretend it doesn't hurt to see a place that is so dear to your heart, is not realistic. I feel you've done an excellent job navigating choppy waters and wanted to say thank you.

I have been to Tempe. Spent time there both in the 2012 NCAA tournament and the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. There's a good strip right in the heart of town. Names of places are escaping me. Maybe I'll see you there.

Graham, this may be a bias on my part, but it seems to me public perception on the MSU OTL report seems to be leaning towards it being a witch hunt. Are you surprised that more media outlets haven't been digging into Paula's story and her seemingly agenda driven report? Is there a "wait and see" attitude to see if anything else surfaces or is it just a case of the rest of the media not caring to do the legwork?

There are two ways to look at this: No other big media outlets have jumped on the train and are going after MSU. ESPN is alone in this, which says something. In our business, we are slow to criticize other media outlets, perhaps too slow. But better to be slow and be right. We don't know everything ESPN has or where there story is going. And I have been critical of their reporting, several times.
