Deear DTE Energy, leave me alone

I pay my bill in full every month. I use the energy I use, and I pay for that energy use. I don't care that I am using more than my neighbors. Or that the most efficient homes use half as much. I don't want some little monitor to tell me the impact of turning things off. So please shutup, accept my money, and go bug people that care.

Bee is just bitter because, a few years ago, he freaked out about the law that would've phased out incandescent lightbulbs, forcing the nation to turn to CFL and the then-emerging LED bulb market. Now, the cost of CFLs and LEDs are down, the law has been axed, and he's stuck with enough of the most wasteful bulbs (read: expensive to operate) to last five lifetimes.
Trouble is, DTE doesn't know their moran customer is being intentionally wasteful because he refuses to admit he was a dolt and made a panic purchase. On a side note: If his wife ever finds out, she's going to kick his ass because he married a Blanch-level she-beast.

I was never anti LED, just CFL. Got tired of incandescents burning out, switched to all LEDs a couple years ago. Good memory though, at your age I'm surprised.

P.S. Wife doesn't care, as long as light comes on when she flips the switch.

I think that most efficient thing is bull anyways. My parents got a new house and kept the old off the market for a few months. With zero air conditioning use, 1 dorm fridge and 1 cell phone plugged in occasionally, water heater turned down, and nothing else plugged into any outlet they were the 4th most efficient home on the block.

There is almost zero chance of that being true
