The ultimate loser of the tournament will either be Mt St Mary's (unc win) or Nevada (gonzaga win)

this is not something you've heard of before as I'm pretty sure that I'm the only person who pays attention to it in the world. But, in every elimination tournament there is one team who lost in the first round and then every subsequent game in their "chain" to the championship, the team lost. So, in mt Mary's case, they lost to nova who lost to Wisconsin who lost to Florida who lost to South Carolina who lost to gonzaga. Nevada lost to Iowa state who lost to Purdue who lost to Kansas who lost to Oregon who lost to unc. Every other chain in the tournament involves a consecutive win in there somewhere.

Whatever. Shut up. I think it's neat. Also, whichever year Michigan lost to Ohio in the first round they were the ultimate loser. So that was cool.
