Stanley Cup Finals - NY v. LA

As much as I want to hate hockey because the Hawks lost in heartbreaking fashion, I still love watching these games.

I'd prefer to see NY win just because I hate the "scene" that is LA sports.

Every time they talk to Sutter, he sounds like he's mentally slow. I know he's a great hockey mind, but doesn't come across that way.

Believe it or not, the Kings fans chant that very thing at every team they're playing every game. They've done it multiple times tonight already.

So Kane's immaturity means the Blackhawks organization is classless? That connection makes no sense. I'm aware he got loaded in Madison. Don't recall him choking anyone (which is why I'm sure you used "allegedly").

Because no matter what I said as my answer (which really is "They are the most fun team in hockey to watch"), you would be upset that I'm not rooting for New York, which would rub it in the face of LA for beating your baby Hawks.

I actually wouldn't be upset at all. In a series where no one on this board has a legit rooting interest, my question was borne out of curiosity, nothing more. Offensively, the Kings are awesome.

By the way, I have yet to ever hear that chant at a game other than one against the wings, and I've been to many. It's one of those board things, where you guys think if you keep saying it, you'll convince yourselves and it'll be true. It isn't.

Dude, I lived near Chicago for a year and a half. All I could watch were Blackcocks games. They were playing some scrub team and started chanting it out of nowhere. I believe it was Florida or something.

I hate the Blackhawks because they are our rival. I used to absolutely fucking hate Chelios when he was a hawk. Thought he was the dirtiest player in the game. As soon as he was a Red Wing I loved him. That's just how it is.

I have an employee in the Chicago area and I'm constantly down there during hockey season wearing Wings shirts. I'm surprised I haven't been killed yet.

A. There are many of those kind of sports cities. Namely NHL cities. It's a product of the sport. Also, specifically in LA, there are so many other options. For instance, the beach. It's 80 and not a could in the sky today. Unless you REALLY care about hockey, why would you be inside today? That's just the nature of some sports towns.

B. I'm just enjoying watching the series. I have no rooting interest and am not rooting for either team as such. I probably would prefer NYR win because of Henrik, but I really don't care either way.

3. The Hawks organization as a whole has grown leaps and bounds since the old man died. I just think you have some massive tools on your team. And no, I don't feel I need to justify my opinion here. It's really a nonevent and I just commented to add to the fire.
