haven't read that much about this guy but I don't think that a gambling addiction in and of itself would lead someone down the path of mass murder absent other contributing factors.

I read a story about how he gambled. He really only played video poker, and it was based on odds. He was apparently very good with numbers, so he would calculate the benefits. If you are breaking even, but getting comps at hotels, you are coming out ahead. None of the casino's where he lived really knew who he was, so he wasn't gambling all the time.

Do any of you really believe that the NRA won't reverse course? They said they support the ATF reviewing the legality of these devices, not the banning of them. The only way legislation like this would be worth shit would be if it were retroactive, and combined with severe restrictions on high-capacity magazines. And I doubt that even the slide stocks will be banned. slippery slope you know.

Needs repeating, majority whip Rep Scalise (R) LA who was shot and was in the hospital for months recovering has gone on the record saying his experience has only strengthened his resolve to make sure we all can access to guns.
