I consider myself a pretty avid baseball fan and I'd never ever heard of this game before.....kind of a wild notion.

The Craziest Game Ever Played By Major Leaguers!

What if I told you there was once a game played by major leaguers which consisted of not two, but THREE major league teams! And no, I’m not making this up!

It was called the Tri-Cornered Baseball Game and it was played 73 years ago this week, June 26, 1944, at the Polo Grounds in front of over 50,000 fans. The game consisted of the three New York teams: the Dodgers, Giants, and Yankees.

The game consisted of six innings to raise money for war bonds. The charity contest ended with the “highly unusual” final score of Dodgers 5, Yankees 1, and Giants 0.

The DH ruined baseball, right guys? If you want to take a chance on a badass bat, you should have to deal with his unreliability in the field. Also, a pitcher should have to bat.

This hasn't been discussed enough.

I like the Cole deal in that it removes him from the market. The Yankees were sniffing around him. Now they can come to the Tigers and knock them out with a Fulmer offer.....or we can just keep him.
