Wilton Speight decided to leave the U-M program. Shea Patterson, a tremendously talented quarterback, transferred to Michigan from Ole Miss, and the Wolverines are getting ready to play South Carolina in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Peters has been cleared to play, and he will get the start at quarterback, which is a huge opportunity.

It’s his chance to show how much he has improved before the Shea Patterson hysteria takes over Ann Arbor.

But the Michigan State loss sits as the stain this team and this fan base cannot wash. U-M was not supposed to lose that game this season. The Spartans were a much improved football team, no question. But Michigan held MSU to 66 yards and one first down after halftime, at home, and still lost. They turned the ball over a whopping five times, and still only lost by four.

Yes that is correct. MSU took a knee the whole second half and still beat your ass.

WHY did MSU only have 66 yards? Because there was a fucking monsoon and we didn't want to risk turnovers when up by 2 scores.

WHY did UM have 5 turnovers? Because there was a fucking monsoon and they had no choice but to risk turnovers when down by 2 scores.

The whole world knew a monsoon was coming around half time. They showed the radar of the approaching storm repeatedly during the game. One team realized this and took matters into their own hands before the weather impacted the game to get that 2 score lead. The other team didn't know the weather was coming, didn't think it would impact anything, or got completely owned during what everyone knew would be the two most important quarters of the game.
